£5,000 in funding available to community groups

Veolia is giving away grants of up to £1000 to community groups. The popular EnviroGrant scheme has been running for six years and has awarded £60,000 already in support of the fantastic community work that goes on within the city.

Volunteer groups, charities, schools and organisations that are not-for-profit are welcome to apply for funding where a maximum of £5,000 will be distributed to the winning applicants.

Mark Powell, General Manager for Veolia in Birmingham, commented: “We are looking forward to supporting local groups with the EnviroGrant funding through projects that benefit the local community’.

“We have supported some amazing projects over the years and we are really excited to support the next round of applicants.”

The projects will need to be based in Birmingham City Council areas and benefit the community, the environment or both. The funding scheme is changing to award funds once a year so applicants are advised to complete applications by 30 November 2019 to avoid missing out.
