World Book Day

Chairs designed by children from Colbourne Primary School to spruce up their reading area.

The Reuse Shop located at Veolia’s household recycling centre in Tyseley operated by Community Reuse donated a number of wooden chairs to Colbourne Primary School for their World Book Day project.

The children across the school didn’t disappoint by designing each chair with a different theme. The chairs will go on to be used in the school’s reading area so the pupils can enjoy reading their favourite books whilst sitting on their favourite chair.

The headteacher of the school, Mr Stuart Guest, said, “A massive thank you to the team at Community Reuse - Birmingham who very kindly donated chairs for our book chair project as part of World Book Day and our school’s year of reading. The children now have amazing reading chairs to enjoy for years to come.”
